Southern Fulton 57 James Buchanan 40

Warfordsburg, Pa. – The weather finally cooperated and basketball was finally able to be played in Fulton County. Southern Fulton (10-4) hosted James Buchanan and defeated the Rockets in a non league matchup 57 to 40. Lindsey Hollenshead led all scorers with 21 points. She also added 7 rebounds, 5 assists , and 4 blocks. Jalyn Hann added 10 points and 5 rebounds, while Drew Gordon chipped in 12 points. James Buchanan was led by Cass Martin with 18 points and Maggie Strawoet added 10 points. Southern Fulton Assistant Coach Amy Fischer commented, “You could tell we hadn’t played in a few days. But once we were able to get into the flow of the game, we put together a couple of good quarters.” JV – SF 29 JB 25 (SF – Kenadee Morton and Maddy Sexton 6 points). Southern Fulton travels to Clear Spring on Monday.

Warfordsburg, Pa. – Southern Fulton defeated James Buchanan Saturday evening in a non-league win. The Indians (11-6) had a 10 point lead going into the fourth quarter, but watched James Buchanan roar back to take a 1 point lead with 6 seconds remaining. Konner Pittman’s 10 footer went in and out as Gabe Stotler grabbed the rebound and put back with no time remaining on the clock for the Indians 1 point win. Coach Jeremy Hann commented “They shot extremely well in the final period. Our youth showed up a little and we had to fight through it. I personally need to do a better job coaching them up down the stretch.” SF was led by Gabe Stotler with 19 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals. Justin Morris 10 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals. Isaac Fitz 10 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals. Dylan Melton chipped in 9 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals. James Buchanan was led by Dylan Good with 19 points, and 4 rebounds. JV – SF 40 JB 17 (SF – Konner Pittman 12 points, Jake Stocker 11 points) Southern Fulton travels to Tussey Mt. on Monday.
