Southern Fulton 57 Northern Bedford 31

Warfordsburg, Pa – Southern Fulton (10-6, 8-3 ICC) defeated Northern Bedford Tuesday night in an ICC matchup. Southern Fulton took a 16 to 8 first quarter lead and never trailed. Josh Morris led the Indians with 21 points. Gabe Stotler added 14 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. Dylan Melton chipped in 6 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Coach Jeremy Hann commented, “They were really aggressive tonight with their press. Justin handled it racking up 10 assists. Although he was held scoreless, he continued to find the open man over and over. We just have to be cleaner on both ends of the floor, though, moving forward.” JV – SF 30 NB 27. (SF – Konner Pittman 15 points) Southern Fulton will travel to McConnellsburg on Friday.

Tussey Mt. 52 Forbes Road 50

Waterfall, Pa. – Tussey Mountain survived a scare from Forbes Road (7-8, 4-6 ICC), claiming a 52-50 victory.  Tussey scored with just over 10 seconds remaining to reclaim a lead that Forbes Road had dissolved from a nine point fourth quarter deficit.  The Cardinals’ last second attempt was turned away, securing the Titans’ victory.  Grayson Hall paced the Cardinals with 24 points and 11 rebounds.   Logan Deshong added 14 points.  Tussey placed three players in double figures, led by Chad Morningstar’s 17 point night. Matt Leonard (15) and Devin Swope (10) also  reached double figures for the Titans.  JV – TM 35 FR 19. Forbes Road is scheduled to host Fannett Metal on Friday.

Southern Huntingdon 68 Fannett Metal 34

Orbisonia, Pa. – Fannett Metal (7-10, 3-7 ICC) traveled to Southern Huntingdon and fell to the Rockets 68 to 34 in an Inter County Conference matchup. The leading scorer for the Tigers was Kyler Goshorn with 11 points. The leading scorer for Southern Huntingdon was Ryan Hammons with 18 points. JV – SH 53 FM. Fannett Metal will travel to Forbes Road on Friday.

Everett 45 McConnellsburg 30

Everett, Pa. – McConnellsburg (7-10, 4-7 ICC) traveled to Everett and ran into a tough Everett team and fell in a league contest 45 to 30. Dominick Reed led the Spartans with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Lucas McClain added 9 points and 8 rebounds. Spartan Coach Josh Lowery commented, “It was a very tough defensive game on both ends. Even though we lost, I was very pleased with my boys and their defensive performance. Hats off to Everett. They are a very good team. That’s why they are the best in the ICC this season.” JV – EHS 68 MHS 21. McConnellsburg will host Southern Fulton on Friday.

McConnellsburg 37 Mercersburg Academy 31

McConnellsburg, Pa. – McConnellsburg (3-13) took a 23 to 12 halftime lead and cruised to a 37 to 31 non league win over Mercersburg Academy. Katelyn Truax led the Spartans with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Sheridan Perry added 10 points in the win. Ava Hull and Zoe Gooch each scored 6 points for Mercersburg Academy. JV – MHS 29 MA 22 (MHS – Lainnie Glenn 9 points). McConnellsburg will travel to Southern Fulton on Thursday for a 6:00 start.
