Forbes Road 41 Belleville Mennonite 22

Waterfall, Pa. – Forbes Road (3-6) hosted Belleville Mennonite in a game that the time was moved up because of pending weather and the Cardinals picked up a non league win 41 to 22. The Cardinals were led by Quincy McMath who scored 11 points, and Shelby Harnish and Hannah Skiles both added 8 points. Kelsey Beaton-Winners led BMS with 10 points. Cardinal Coach Jamie Gelvin said, “We started slow, but turned it on in the second and third quarters to pull away. Quincy had a nice game and Hannah and Shelby also played well. Belleville has really improved since the last time we saw them and they fought hard today.  Next week we have some big games so it was nice to end this one with a win.” No JV game. The Cardinals will host Everett on Monday.

Fannett Metal 52 James Buchanan 44

Willow Hill, Pa. – Fannett-Metal (7-2) hosted their neighbor James Buchanan in the early part of a girls/boys quadruple header.  The Tigers came away with a 52-44 win.  The Tigers jumped out to a 15-11 first quarter lead only to see the Rockets seize control in the second quarter and go into halftime with a 26-23 advantage.  The second half was a tight contest with neither team securing much of a lead.  The Tigers were able to make the last run and make enough free throws to protect the win.  The Tigers got scoring from Johns 19, M Ritchey 12, Adams 8, Hartman 6, Rotz 4, and McClure 3. The Rockets got scoring from Strawoet 16, Martin 12, Blair 7, Heinbaugh 5, and Myers 4. JV FM 43  JB 39 (FM – Hoffmann 13 and McClure 9, JB – Dukehart 14 and Heinbaugh 11)

James Buchanan 65 Fannett Metal 40

Willow Hill, Pa. – Fannett Metal (5-7) hosted their neighbor to the south, James Buchanan, and fell to the Rockets 64 to 40 in a non league contest. The leading scorer for Fannett Metal was Timber Brookens with 12 points. The lead for JB was Rylan Good with 19. JV – FM 53 – JB 47. The Tigers return to action next Tuesday, when they will host Northern Bedford.
