Altoona 73, Chambersburg 38: The Mountain Lions made almost as many 3-pointers as 2-pointers and handed the Trojans a Mid Penn Commonwealth defeat Friday night at CASHS Field House.
Altoona (5-5, 5-2 MPC) sank 12 threes to score just about half of their points. Caranda Perea hit 4 and Olivia Hudson bagged 3 for the Lions, who led 21-3 after one period and 48-13 at halftime.
Chambersburg (2-7, 1-5 MPC), which now has three starters and a substitute out with injuries, got a trio of 3-pointers and 11 points from Madi Flythe, and a career-high 8 points from Anna Stonesifer.
