Cedar Cliff 56, Chambersburg 35: In the opening game of a doubleheader at Cedar Cliff on Saturday night, the Colts defeated Chambersburg in a non-league girls basketball game.

Cedar Cliff (4-1) broke out to a 22-9 lead after one period over the Trojans (1-4). After scoring 15 points in the third quarter, Chambersburg managed only three foul shots in the fourth period.

For the Trojans, Madison Flythe totaled a career-high 11 points, including a pair of 3-pointers. Erin Pattillo and Bre’ya Clopper each posted 7 points.

Julia Hoffman scored 15 points for Cedar Cliff.

Chambersburg 51, Cedar Cliff 42: The Trojans outscored the Colts 17-10 in the second quarter to take an eight-point lead and maintained the advantage for a non-league victory Saturday night.

The Colts (0-4) got it back to a four-point deficit after three periods, but Chambersburg (3-2) knocked down 9 of 12 foul shots in the final quarter to remain in control. For the game, the Trojans were 16 of 28.

Ty Holsopple scored 13 points to lead Chambersburg; his fourth game in double figures. Seth Brouse netted 11 to help the cause.

Charlie Werner led Cedar Cliff with 12 points.
