McConnellsburg 2 Fannett Metal 1

McConnellsburg, Pa. – The MHS Lady Spartan Soccer Team (7-5-1, 5-2-1 ICC) defeated the Fannett Metal Tigers (7-4-1, ICC 5-2-1) Friday night by a score of 2-1.  The Spartans got off to a hot start scoring both goals in the first 5 minutes of the game.  The Spartan defense took over from there holding Fannett Metal to 1 goal on 8 attempts.  Jenna Hoffmann scored for the Tigers. The Spartan goals were scored by Kailey Swope and Libby Skiles, Izzy Keefer picked up an assist.  Fannett Metal will host Everett today (10/15) while McConnellsburg will travel Berlin today for a makeup game at 4:00.
