“I thought today was one of our best performances of the season,” Chambersburg coach Corey Grove said. “I was a little concerned due to the fact we were missing one of our captains, Emmanuel Hewitt, and our starting center back, Terrell Samuels. GIRLS SOCCER
Chambersburg 3, Greencastle-Antrim 0: The Trojans put together a good game on offense and defense to hand the Blue Devils a defeat Saturday at Kaley Field in a non-league game.

Brooke Huntsman scored right before halftime to put the first goal on the board, assisted by Emily Mort.

“Brooke had a great cut back as she entered the 18 and sent a nice shot over the keeper,” Chambersburg coach Ed Franchi said.

In the second half, Gabby Lecuona notched a pair of goals to put the game out of reach and raise her goal total for the season to 21. She was assisted by Hana Bellows and Lauren Ocker.

Franchi said, “We came out in the second half with a lot more intensity. We were able to maintain possession, work the ball around and put two more in the net.

“The defense gave up only five shots. Hana Bellows did a great job of controlling the middle and keeping the ball on our offensive end.”
