Waterfall, Pa. – The Forbes Road Field Hockey (5-1) team was back in action again Saturday afternoon in their previously rained out home match against the East Juniata Tigers.  Seven different Forbes Road players found themselves in scoring position in the early afternoon match.

Mara Broadwater put the Cardinals on the scoreboard 6 minutes into the game with a penalty corner play put into motion by teammates Brianna Waters and Emma Gelvin.  Broadwater would find the cage three more times in the first half, one on a rebound off the goalie pads, and the other two with assists coming from Quincy McMath and Shelby Harnish.  Madison Hays was the next Cardinal to shove the ball into the cage on a stray bounce off the goal pads.  Several minutes later, Emma Gelvin joined the scoring foray on a centered pass from Harlie Strait.  With just 28 seconds remaining in the first half, Harnish capitalized on a penalty corner play set into motion by Waters and Gelvin.

A slower paced second half had three new Cardinal scorers tallying goals.  Harlie Strait scored her goal on penalty corner action sent into play by the duo of Gelvin and Payton Kendall.  Sam Henry and Braelyn Snyder finished up the second half by scoring their first ever varsity goals on passes sent to them from Payton Watkins.
