Greensburg, Pa. – Forbes Road (2-0) started off their day of hockey in a 1 pm game with Hempfield Area. The Cardinals launched their attack quickly with Quincy McMath scoring the first goal just 38 seconds into the game. Shortly thereafter, Mara Broadwater scored on a penalty corner with a double assist from Harlie Strait and McMath. Additional first half goals were netted by Brianna Waters, Emma Gelvin and Payton Watkins, all FR halfbacks. During second half play, Strait found the goal on a penalty corner play with assists coming from the duo of McMath and Broadwater. Midfielder Hailey Dodson scored the final goal with just 3 minutes left in the game on a pass from McMath. JV FR 1 (Lashinsky) HA 1

North Allegheny 2 Forbes Road 1

Greensburg, Pa. – Forbes Road (2-1) took to the field again at 4 pm against North Allegheny.  North Allegheny’s Marisa Hess scored 7 minutes into the game, assisted by Laura Schwendeman.  Forbes Road sophomore Payton Kendall answered 12 minutes later during a scramble in the circle to tie the game at 1-1. The second half was a back and forth battle with North Allegheny’s Hailey Wachowiak netting the final goal of the game with just under 3 minutes left of play.
