The Cumberland Valley Christian School Blazers are off to a strong start in boys soccer, outscoring their first two opponents 15-0.
In their season opener last Friday, the Blazers defeated Broadfording Christian Academy 6-0 in a Mason-Dixon Christian Conference game.
The Blazers got two goals each from junior Kenneth Hott and freshman Joshua Rowe and a goal apiece from seniors Eli Black and Joel Vandersleen. Senior Jimmy Hong contributed three assists, while Hott, Elijah Randolph and YeGeon Choi each added an assist.
Goaltenders Black and Jack Gabler each made two saves.
On Tuesday, the Blazers defeated Faith Christian of Martinsburg, W.Va., 9-0, in an MDCC game.
Hott scored four goals and Black knocked in two. Sophomore Ryan Winters, sophomore Caleb Eckert and freshman Felix Kauffeldt each netted a goal. Assists were racked up by Max Crawford (2), Kauffeldt, Winters, Hott, Noah Randolph, Hong, Vandersleen and Black.
Gabler, a freshman, made seven saves and Black had two saves in goal.
