The Shippensburg Stars have gone into a hitting funk after a 5-2 victory over second place Hagerstown. The Stars have dropped six games in a row, while scoring total of eight runs I those losses.
That included four against Enola in a 7-4 loss. They also scored once in a double-header loss (10-0,5-1) against New Cumberland over the weekend and a 14-1 drubbing by the front-running Mechanicsburg Cardinals. The Stars are currently 4-14, ahead of only first-year Carlisle at this point of the season.
The Stars will host New Cumberland Sunday in a double-header at Memorial Park. The game swill start at 1:00pm and 3:30pm.
