CARLISLE-A six run first inning and eight run third inning propelled the Greencastle 12U Little League All Stars to a 14-1 win over Newville in a game shortened to 4 innings due to the 10 rule.. With the victory Greencastle improves to 4-0 and Newville falls to 2-2. Briggs Remenick went the distance for Greencastle allowing just two hits while striking out seven in four innings.

Greencastle got on the board early scoring six runs on seven hits in the first inning.  Remenick lead off with a single followed by back to back RBI triples from Andrew Kerns and Logan Shifflet. JD Wolff and Makayla Jerin followed with RBI doubles and Jarek Szaflarski added a two run double..

Newville loaded the bases in both the second and third with one out but was only able to come up with one run on Nick Walter’s RBI single.

Greencastle then exploded for eight runs in the bottom of the third sending fourteen batters to the plate getting a bases clearing three double from Garrett Decker, a two run single by Makayla Jerrin and two runs on a strikeout.
Through four games Greencastle has outscored their opponents 42-6.

Greencastle which has clinched a berth in the District 14 Double Elimination Tournament will play there final game in pool play against Gettysburg (0-4) on Thursday night at 8:30 at Carlisle.
