Meyersdale 4 Forbes Road 3

Meyersdale, Pa. – Meyersdale rallied from a three run deficit to advance to the District V 1A baseball semifinals.  Forbes Road (8-10) opened the scoring with two runs in the third inning, capitalizing on two Meyersdale errors and an RBI single from Kole Kendall.  The Cardinals added a run in the fifth when Ethan Wright singled home Logan Deshong.  Cardinal starter Grayson Hall held Meyersdale scoreless until two outs in the sixth inning before surrendering the ball to Brycen Hohman with the bases loaded.  The Raiders capitalized with a two run single to narrow the lead to 3-2.  Meyersdale scratched across the tying run with two outs in the seventh, then completed the comeback win as a soft fly ball bounced out of the glove of a diving Deshong.  Levi Truax, Ethan Wright, and Dalton Zeger each collected two hits for the Cardinals.  Meyersdale advances to meet second seed Berlin in the semifinal, while top seeded Southern Fulton will face Rockwood.
