District V Track and Field Championship – 5/16/18

Boy’s – 8th McConnellsburg 25 points – 10th Southern Fulton 21 points

Girl’s – 7th Southern Fulton 34 points – 8th McConnellsburg 29 points

Loysburg, Pa. – The District V Track and Field Championships were held at Northern Bedford yesterday. The boy’s title was won by Chestnut Ridge and the girl’s championship went to Berlin Brothersvalley.

McConnellsburg

Skyler Speigle placed 6th in the 100 meter dash. The girls 4×400 team placed 5th and the 4×800 team placed 5th as well.

Hailey Dodson took the gold in girls shot put. Kaitlyn Truax placed 2nd in girls discus and Hailey Dodson placed 3rd.

The boys 4×100 team placed 5th and the 4×400 team placed 6th. Zac Hann placed 5th in boys pole vault, Austin Baker placed 4th in boys discus and Chase Glee took the bronze in boys javelin.

Josh Booth brought home the gold once again in boys 300 hurdles.

Josh Booth and Hailey Dodson move on to the PIAA State Meet next Friday.

Southern Fulton

Casey Spade placed 4th in the 400 meter, Caleb Elder placed 4th and Nate Voight placed 6th in the 1600 meter, and Nate Voight placed 5th in the 3200 meter for the Indians.

Southern Fulton’s relay teams placed 3rd in the 1600 relay and 4th in the 3200 meter.

For the Lady Indians Drew Gordon scored a silver in the javelin and 4th in the high jump. Zoe O’Neal was 4th in the shot put. Lydia Hiller picked up a bronze and Cheyenne Ribson was 6th in the 400 meter.

The Lady Indians relay teams won silver in the 1600 setting a new school record with a time of 4:17.86 and placed 4th in the 3200 meter.
