CHAMBERSBURG — Trojan Stadium will host the annual Mid Penn Conference track & field championships on Saturday, beginning at 9 a.m.

Chambersburg, Shippensburg, Greencastle-Antrim, James Buchanan and Waynesboro will compete in the event.

Two area athletes earned top seeds — Chambersburg’s Abby Yourkavitch in the girls 3200 (with a time of 10:52.04) and the Trojans’ Brock Harmon (pictured above) in the boys shot put (51-10.75).

Also in the shot put, Chambersburg’s Derek Moore is ranked No. 2 (49-10.25) and Ship’s Nick Gustafson is No. 7 (46-8.5). The Greyhounds’ Alex Doyle is seeded second in the high jump at 6-4.

In girls events, Greencastle’s Keri Gearhart is No. 3 in the javelin (135-7) and Chambersburg’s Bre’ya Clopper is third in the 300 hurdles (47.54).
