McConnellsburg 18 Fannett Metal 1

Willow Hill, Pa. Fannett Metal (1-10) dropped a home game today to McConnellsburg (4-7) 18 – 1. Fannett Metal Coach Jamie Funk commented, “With the amount of games stacked up do to the early season weather we are just running out of pitching and arms are getting tired. We issued 11 walks along with 13 hits to the Spartan offense and we could not back it up with much offense of our own.” Fannett Metal will host Southern Huntingdon today (5/4) at 5:00. McConnellsburg will travel to Chestnut Ridge on Saturday at 2:00.

Forbes Road 7 Northern Bedford 3

Forbes Road (5-7) capitalized on 4 Northern Bedford errors while playing mistake free baseball themselves. Caleb Voegel’s triple to right highlighted a two run second inning.  Grayson hall tossed the complete game, surrendering two runs on three hits, while walking two and striking out six. Forbes Road travels to Southern Fulton on May 7 for a 4:30 start.
