Shippensburg softball

The Greyhounds returned to their winning ways on Monday as they knocked off Commonwealth power Cumberland Valley 8-3 at Shippensburg.

Emily Wenner allowed a home run to Katie Wingert, who had three hits, but otherwise kept the Eagles off the board with no walks and a flawless defense that didn’t commit an error.

Morgan Fetter had three hits and Rachel Kline added two as the Greyhounds tallied four runs in the third and two more in the fourth.

Bailey Bauserman had three runs batted in for the ‘Hounds and Kline added two runs batted in.

Amber Orndorff had a triple and Fetter had a double for Shippensburg.

Shippensburg improves to 6-1 overall and is 4-1 in the Colonial Division. They host Greencastle-Antrim Tuesday in a Colonial Division battle.
