The Greencastle-Antrim Blue Devils quickly snapped a 6-6 tie in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat the Northeastern Bobcats 7-6 on Friday.
Leading 6-2 after six innings Northeastern came roaring back with four seventh inning runs to tie the game at 6-6. Down 0-2 on the count Cade McDowell ripped a double to center field to start the seventh.Reed Scadden laid down a bunt on the first pitch and it was mishandled and McDowell came around to score the winning run.

The Blue Devils collected 12 hits on the afternoon including five doubles. Tanner Rock, Nathan Starliper, Lance Layton, had two hits apiece for Greencastle. Trenton Shaffer went the first 6 1/3 innings in the game allowing three runs only one was earned, five hits four walks, and six strikeouts. It took three pitchers to get final two outs in the top of the seventh.
Robbie Elzinga lead Northeastern with two hits both of which were doubles and 2 runs scored.
Greencastle improves to 4-2 (3-2 in Mid Penn Colonial) and return to action Tuesday when they host Big Spring at 4:15 p.m.
