BOYS TRACK & FIELD
Chambersburg 75, Cumberland Valley 75: The teams tied on the scoreboard, but the Trojans earned a victory by tiebreaker — Chambersburg won 10 events to 8 for the Eagles.
The Trojans (3-1, 3-1 MPC) got a good day from their sprinters. Tyeshawn Worrell took first in the 100 (11.0) and 200 (22.9) and anchored the winning 4 x 100 team of Josue Chacon, Jonathan Jeffrey and Keyshawn Jones (44.7). Trayton Barnette captured the 110 (15.0) and 300 (43.9) hurdles.
Also on the track, Luke Myers won the 800 (2:04.7) and the 4 x 800 relay team of James Merkle, Matt Hoover, Trentin Overcash and Myers won in 8:35.7.
Chambersburg also picked up victories in the long jump (Nate Reed, 21-3.75), pole vault (Shane Ambrose, 10-0) and shot put (Brock Harmon, 48-5).
GIRLS TRACK & FIELD
Cumberland Valley 78, Chambersburg 72: Abby Yourkavitch produced an impressive day on the track, but it wasn’t quite enough as CV earned a 6-point win over Chambersburg.
Yourkavitch produced a yeoman’s effort for the Trojans (2-2, 2-2 MPC), winning the 800 in 2:27.4, the 1600 in 5:34.9 and the 3200 in 12:00.1. She also anchored the winning 4 x 800 team of Maddie Kinton, Kaylee Mowery and Kiera Whitehead to a win in 10:36.5.
Sydnie Gilbert was a winner in the 100 hurdles in 15.9.
In the throws, the Trojans took first in all three events — Ashley Adams in the discus (85-3), Brynn Vandegriff in the javelin (103-9) and Deja Winkler in the shot put (30-2).

BASEBALL
Cedar Cliff 7, Chambersburg 1: The Trojans took a 1-0 lead in the top of the fifth inning, but the Colts broke through for 5 in the bottom of the inning and went on to win 8-1 in a Mid Penn Commonwealth game Tuesday.
Austin Kopp went the distance, striking out 5 and allowing 11 hits.
Chambersburg (2-2, 2-2 MPC) mustered only 2 hits, singles by Max Armstrong and Aiden Newman, while Spencer Hockensmith was credited with the RBI. The Trojans struck out 10 times in the game.

BOYS TENNIS
Chambersburg 3, Cedar Cliff 2: The Trojans dominated the singles play to pick up 3 wins and capture their first victory of the season, edging the Colts in a non-league match Tuesday.
For Chambersburg, No. 1 singles player Danny Muldowney picked up a 6-4, 6-2 victory, while at No. 3, Christian Cooper earned a 6-2, 6-4 win.
At No. 2 for the Trojans (1-5), Will Harriger dropped the first set in the tiebreaker, 6-7 (4), but then stormed back to nail down the final two sets, 6-1 and 6-2.
SOFTBALL
Cedar Cliff 18, Chambersburg 3: The Trojans committed 7 errors, including several fly balls that coach Chris Skultety felt should have been caught.
“We’re a young team that finally got bit by making all of the mistakes,” Skuletety said.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Chambersburg 16, Cedar Cliff 7: Rachel Dusman and Hannah Raines each scored 6 goals to power Chambersburg over the Colts for its third straight victory in Mid Penn play.
Cameron Stouffer scored two goals and Payton Guyer and Ashlyn Bothe each had one for the Trojans (3-2, 3-2 MPC). Assists were recorded by Raines (2), Stouffer and Barrett Cross.
On defense, goalie Micaela Champion made 10 saves, Courtney Kirby had a caused turnover and interception.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL
State College 3, Chambersburg 0: The Trojans fell to the Little Lions on Tuesday, falling 25-19, 25-21 and 25-23 in Mid Penn Commonwealth play.
Will Simmers (8) and Steve Swain (6) led Chambersburg (2-4, 1-4 MPC) in kills. Trey Stepler had 11 digs and two aces and Wes Newman had 11 digs.
