Southern Fulton fell to the visiting Shanksville Lady Vikings in the PIAA District V Class A Semifinals last evening 52-39. Shanksville was led by Lexi Wilt with 23 points, Sidney Stutzman and Hannah Platt each scored 10. Southern Fulton’s Coach Meagan Mellott commented, “We just got out-played on both ends of the floor. Shanksville is a really good team and they play well together. They took us out of our game with their full court pressure and unfortunately we just couldn’t recover.” Southern Fulton will play in the consolation round at Pitt-Johnstown this Saturday against Fannett Metal at 1:00. The winner will advance to the PIAA state tournament.
