Berlin Too Much for Lady Tigers

Berlin 70 Fannett Metal 26

Berlin Brothersvalley demonstrated last evening why they were ranked the top seeded team in PIAA District V Class A by defeating visiting Fannett Metal 70-26. In the first few minutes of the semifinal matchup between Fannett-Metal and Berlin, it appeared  the game would be closely contested throughout with a score of 7-5.  However, Berlin used some stifling defense that resulted in FM turnovers. Berlin then opened up a 28-9 first quarter lead and never looked back on their way to a 70-26 win.  Katie Johns led the Lady Tigers with 6 points and Ally Hoffman added 5. Fannett-Metal’s season is not over as they will travel to the University of Pitt-Johnstown on Saturday 1:00 for a chance to enter the state tournament. The Tigers will square off against league foe Southern Fulton.
