Southern Fulton 54, Chestnut Ridge 37

Southern Fulton (17-4, 12-3 SHL) hosted Chestnut Ridge and won 54-37. The high scorer for the Lady Indians was Ava Hull with 18 points, followed by Drew Gordon with 14 points, and Lindsey Hollenshead added 12 points along with 9 rebounds and 8 assists. Madelyn Hyde led the Lady Lions with 10 points. Southern Fulton Coach Meagan Mellott said,”Ridge played us really tough tonight. It was a tight game up until the 4th quarter when we were able to outscore them 16-4. Their defense gave us trouble getting the ball inside and they always shoot 3’s well. A great thing about our team this year, is that we all have to contribute to win games, and that’s what we did tonight. Everyone did their job and we were able to pull it out.” JV SF 36 CR 10 Rachel Bradshaw 9 points. Southern Fulton will end their regular season on Wednesday when they will host McConnellsburg in a make up game from January 6th.

Everett 60, McConnellsburg 21

McConnellsburg (4-15, 1-14 SHL, 1-12 ICC) traveled to Everett to face a tough Lady Warriors Team and dropped a league contest 60-21. The Lady Spartans were led by Sami Hensley with 6 points. Aleah Lynch scored 5 points, had 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Mattalynn Ross scored 4 points had 2 blocks and 2 rebounds. Everett was led by Sydney Reffner with 32 points. McConnellsburg will finish their season on Wednesday when they will travel to Southern Fulton.

Tussey Mountain 48, Forbes Road 20

Forbes Road (4-16, 3-13, 2-12) hosted Tussey Mountain in a league game and fell to the Lady Titans 48-20. Alexis Weimert led TM with 18 points and Sophie Brumbaugh added 10 for Tussey. Quincy McMath led FR with 7. Forbes Road Coach Jamie Gelvin said, “Tussey out-everything’d us tonight. Until our girls decide that they can play with teams of this caliber, we aren’t going to see different results.” No JV game. Forbes Road will host Great Commission School today (February 13) at 5:00.
