The Greyhounds hung tough with the front-runners in the Mid-Penn Swimming championships this past weekend at Cumberland Valley High School. They came home with some Mid-Penn medals.
The boys team finished 11th as a team and Alec Sites finished seventh in the Diving event and Sam Nonemaker took sixth in the 50 free with a time of 21.78. He also took home a fifth in the 100 free, clocking a time of 47.99.
The girls team finished seventh as a team and took home several medals. Madison Osanitsch, Madelyn Facchinei, Makenna Morris, and Julia Strine combined to take a sixth place in the 200 IM relay. they clocked a 1:54.03 time.
Osanitsch took seventh in the 200 free and fourth in the 100 back.
Morris finished fourth in the 200 IM in a time of 2:13.80.
Strine also took fourth in the 100 breast event.
The swimmers will move on to Districts on March 2nd and 3rd at Cumberland Valley. AA Divers will compete at Big Spring on February 21st and AAA divers will compete on February 24th at Wilson High School.
