McConnellsburg (5-9, 3-7 SHL, 3-6 ICC) traveled to Loysburg and dropped a league game to NBC 56-51. The Spartans were led by Cale Harman who had 21 points and Dom Reed added 15 points. Spartan Coach Drew Washabaugh said, “We have to play better in the first quarter. Second game in a row we did ourselves a whole in the first half and dig out of it. We had the lead late in the 4th and couldn’t finish the game. We need to get ready for tomorrow against a tough Chesnut Ridge team. JV NBC 45 MHS 37 Damon Knepper scored 15. The Spartans will host Chestnut Ridge tonight as a make up game originally scheduled from January 16.
Southern Fulton 63 Tussey Mt. 46
The Southern Fulton Indians boys basketball team 12-4 (9-1 ICC and 9-2 SHL) hosted the Tussey Mt. Titans tonight in league play. The Indians won 63-46. Mitchell Potter tossed in a game high 17 points and 8 rebounds. Gabe Stotler added 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals. Justin Morris chipped in with 11 points and 5 assists. Matt Leonard lead the Titans with 13 points.The Indians won the JV game 51-27. Dylan Melton had a game high 14 points. SF hosts the McConnellsburg Spartans Friday night at 6pm.
Chestnut Ridge 75 Forbes Road 55
Forbes a Road (7-8, 4-6 SHL, 4-4 ICC) hosted a strong Chestnut Ridge team and dropped a Sideling Hill League game 77-55. Logan Deshong led the Cardinals with 17 points. Grayson Hall added 14 points and Brycen Hohman chipped in 12. Forbes Road Coach Trent Black said, “We competed much better than the first matchup at Ridge early in the season, but they were still just too much for us.” JV CR 48 FR 26 Shane Schepis had 12 points. The Cardinals will travel to Fannett Metal on February 2.
