Southern Huntingdon 74 Forbes Road 60

Forbes Road (6-5, 4-4 SHL, 4-3 ICC) hosted the Rockets of Southern Huntingdon and dropped a league game 74-60. Brycen Hohman and Grayson Hall paced the Cardinals with 18 points each. The Rockets’ Snyder led all scorers with 23 points. Hammons and Wilson each had 17 points in the win. Cardinal Coach Trent Black commented, “I’d like to blame the loss on something we didn’t do well enough, but it really boils down to what Southern Huntingdon did well.  They shot almost 60% for the game including 10-18 from three point range.  We could have shot the ball better, and we weren’t as efficient at the free throw line as we have been, but we just ran into a hot team. We’ll go back to work tomorrow and get ready for Southern Fulton on Friday.” JV SH 36 FR 20

Philip Strait added 9 points, Garrett Bunch and Cale Harman each added 8 points, while Colton Mellott added 7. Spartan Coach Drew Washabaugh said, “We were beaten by a better team tonight.  We have to mature and not let the games get out of control.  They destroyed us in the 2nd and we could never recover.  We were also in all sorts of foul trouble.  Give CR credit, they executed their gameplan a lot better than we did.” The Spartans will host Fannett Metal on January 27.
