it might have ben the third game in four days but no matter what, Greencastle-Antrim came out on fire and defeated the Shippensburg Greyhounds 61-35 in a postponed make up for first place.
Both teams played Friday, Saturday in the Dunks for Drew Classic and Monday night in their big game for first place in the Colonial Division.
Greencastle-Antrim (6-0 Colonial, 11-2 overall) was coming off a huge victory Saturday over Chambersburg and buried the Greyhounds behind a 15-0 run to open the game.
Shippensburg closed the gap to six points, twice in the second quarter but trailed 32-20 at the half.
An 8-0 run to open the third for the Devils led to a 48-30 lead after three quarters.
Carter Van Scyoc led the Greyhounds with 14 points. Colin Taylor and Alaric Hickman added five points each.
Bryan Gembe led all scorers with 17 and was capably supported by Jason Freeman with 14 and Ian Gelsinger with 12 points.
Shippensburg falls to 6-1 in the Colonial Division and 11-2 overall. They will get their opportunity for revenge on January 30th at Shippensburg.
Shippensburg travels to Boiling Springs for another big match-up with the Bubblers on Friday at 7:30 PM.
