Harrisburg 53, Chambersburg 23: The Trojans hung with the Cougars for one quarter, but then their offense completely disappeared.
Harrisburg (8-2, 5-1 MPC) held a 13-9 lead after one period. But over the next two quarters, the Cougars outscored Chambersburg 31-1.
For the Trojans (4-8, 0-7 MPC), who were missing Taylor Vrabel, Ashley Adams led with 7 points and Bre’ya Clopper added 5.

BOYS SWIMMING
Chambersburg 99, Mifflin County 71: The Trojans captured all three relays and won five other events to defeat the Huskies.
Aiden McMillen and Jacob Greenwood swam on all three relays, while C.J. Pong and Avery Barley were on the 200 medley and 200 freestyle teams, and Gavin Vink and Sam Vessah competed on the 400 free team.
In addition for Chambersburg (4-1, 3-1 MPC), Barley (100 free, 100 breaststroke), Vink (500 free), Colby Estep (200 free) and Greenwood (50 free) were individual winners.
Trojan girls coach Donnie Miller said, “In the boys meet, many of the athletes competed in events they might not usually, but looked strong regardless. They are ready to enter a stretch of competitive meets.”
Next Tuesday’s meet at home vs. Central Dauphin has been moved to Thursday; it is Senior Night.
GIRLS SWIMMING
Mifflin County 88, Chambersburg 82: The Huskies were able to win the final event, the 400 freestyle relay, by 33 seconds to wrap up a win over the Trojans (2-3, 2-2 MPC).
“The girls meet was competitive from start to finish and was tied entering the final relay,” Miller said. “The entire competition was filled with a lot of close races and best times, but the girls didn’t win enough of those close races to finish victorious.”
Miller did say that Bree Kratz and Kyleigh Ballard posted their best times yet in both races they competed in.
For Chambersburg, Emily Stroble won the 100 free, Abby Reichelderfer took the 200 IM, and those two, plus Kratz and Cayris Wright, won the 200 free relay.
