Big first half carries Ship past JB girls

The Shippensburg Lady Hounds rolled to a big first half lead and went onto defeat the James Buchanan Lady Rockets 61-32 in a Mid Penn Colonial Division girls basketball game Tuesday.

Shippensburg outscored the Lady Rockets (3-9) 34-12 in the first half and held them to single digit scoring in the first 3 quarters.

Tori Rumbaugh led the Lady Hounds with 17 points while Kara Newell also reached double figures with 11. Cass Martin was JB’s leading scorer with 7 points
