The Spartans ( 1-6, 1-4 SHL, 1-4 ICC) traveled to Southern Huntingdon and dropped a league game 73-60. Dom Reed led the Spartans with 17 points and Cale Harman added 15 points. The Rockets outscored McConnellsburg 43-30 in the second half to pull away for the win. Spartan Coach Drew Washabaugh said, “We have to figure a way to finish games.  Our defense wasn’t as good as it needs to be, we can’t be giving up over 70 points. ” JV SH 45- MHS 39, Colton Mellott had 14.

Chestnut Ridge 87 Fannett Metal 64

The Tigers ( 1-7, 0-6 SHL, 0-4 ICC) fell to a strong Chestnut Ridge team at Fishertown, 87-64 in Sideling Hill League action. Timber Brookens paced the Tigers with 23 points. Noah Dillow led all scorers with 27 points. Assistant Coach Tony Brookens said, ” I liked the attitude and the energy we played with last night. The Chestnut Ridge Coach said to us after the game, we gave them all they could handle for 3 and a half quarters. We made some mistakes at the end of the game and a great team like Chestnut Ridge will make you pay for it.” The Tigers will host McConnellsburg on Friday.
