Shippensburg won the Shippensburg Holiday tournament as they rallied from behind to beat Susquehanna township 47-44 in the championship game.
The athletic Indian squad, coached by former Greencastle-Antrim coach Gary martin, knows the Shippensburg system well.
They jumped out to an 18-13 lead and weathered a Shippensburg run that cut the deficit to two at the half 26-24.
The Indians extended their lead to 37-29 after three periods only to watch the Greyhounds come out on fire in the final quarter.
Carter Van Scyoc led the ‘Hounds with 24 points, and got assistance from Alaric Hickman with 11 and three 3-point shots.
Adam Houser added another trey and 8 points to help the Greyhounds. Their season record improves to 7-1 and they return to action on Tuesday as they host Waynesboro at 7:30 PM.
