NEWARK, Del. — Chambersburg sophomore Luke Nichter went 4-2 for the tournament and placed seventh at 170 pounds at the Beast of the East, which ended Sunday.
Nichter fell 3-2 to Waynesburg’s Kyle Hamet in Sunday morning’s quarterfinals, then came back for an 8-0 consolation win. Following a second loss, Nichter wrestled for seventh place and edged Nicholas Fiorschutz of Malvern Prep, 3-2.
The Trojans’ only other competitor that reached the second day was junior Cole Grove at 126, but he was defeated in his first consy match of the day, 5-3, to Christop Rivers of Fort Mills, S.C. Grove was 3-2 overall.
