Shippensburg Swimming

Shippensburg opened up the new swimming season with two victories over Trinity.

The girls won 105-80 over the Shamrocks and the boys won 105-78 over their Shamrock counterparts.

In the girls meet, Madison Osanitsch won two events- the 200 free and the 100 back stroke. Her times were 2:04.49 and 1:03.09.

MaKenna Morris also won two events- the 200 IM and the 100 Butterfly. She finished in 2:17.72 and 1:02.19 respectively.

Julia Strine also earned a victory in the 100 breast stoke race, finishing in 1:11.48.

The Greyhounds won two relay events- the 200 medley relay and the 400 relay.

The boys got two victories from three different swimmers. Sam Nonemaker won the 200 IM and the 500 freestyle in 2:10.47 and 5:07.78.

Elijah Zinn won the 50 free in 23.82  and the 100 free in 53.46.

Caleb Eveland took first in the 100 fly in 1:00.08 and the 100 backstroke in 1:02.77.

The Greyhounds also won one relay. They finished first in the 200 medley in 1:47.55.

Both teams return to action on Friday as the team hosts Red Lion at 4:30 pm.
