Trojan volleyball ends with win

Chambersburg 3, Mifflin County 0: The Trojans finished the regular season Thursday night by shutting out the Huskies, 3-0, in games of 25-15, 25-10 and 25-8.

Before the win, Chambersburg was No. 12 in the District 3 Class 4A power rankings, so it has sown up a playoff berth. The Trojans’ first-round match will be held Saturday, Oct. 28, with site and opponent to be finalized by this Saturday.

Lauren Ching had 25 assists, 7 aces and 16 service points for the Trojans (9-7, 8-6 MPC), while Ashley Adams led with 6 kills, Bailee Nitterhouse had 8 digs and Anne Romine added 7 digs.

“This was a great night of volleyball and it was a total team effort,” Chambersburg assistant coach Bobby Culler said. “Everyone got court time and it was nice for the six seniors to finish the match on the court.”
