GIRLS VOLLEYBALL: James Buchanan defeated Steel-High 3-0 in a match Monday.

The Rockets won by scores of 25-8, 25-10 and 25-15. Leaders for JB were Rachel Manikowski (8 kills), Alyssa Blair (9 digs) and Jenna Mongold (17 assists, 6 aces). The Rocket JV team also won, 2-0 (25-15, 25-20).

GIRLS TENNIS: Bishop McDevitt downed the James Buchanan Lady Rockets 4-1 in a match Monday.

The No. 2 doubles team of Lindsay Meyers and Sydney Jones earned the Rockets only point with a 6-1, 6-1 win. Also, Amber Clark suffered her first loss of the season at No. 3 singles.

Also, last Friday JB lost 4-1 to East Pennsboro. Clark was the lone winner for the Rockets, coming away with a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles.
