Chambersburg 4, CD East 1: The Trojans improved their record to 2-7 by taking two singles matches and both doubles matches to beat Central Dauphin East in a non-league match Monday at Norlo Park.

“It was nice for them to get the win,” Chambersburg coach Bill Wissinger said.

Hope Sprecher won at No. 2 singles, 6-3, 6-1, and Caroline Hance followed with a 6-0, 6-2 blitz at No. 3. At No. 1 doubles, Cally Papoutsis and Alexis Parra took a 6-2, 6-2 victory, while the No. 2 doubles match went to Aubrey Carlin and Kaylin Shearer, 6-4, 6-2.

GOLF

Trojans clinch title: Chambersburg raised its season record to 36-0 and its winning streak to 241 straight matches, and clinched the Mid Penn Colonial Division championship on Monday by winning the event at Chambersburg Country Club. The Trojans scored 319 to beat Waynesboro — which edged Northern York by 2 strokes for second — by 28 strokes.

Chambersburg’s Karsen Rush fired an even-par 73 to win medalist honors, while Waynesboro’s Devin Smith tied for second with a 75. Other Chambersburg scorers were Grayson Hopple (5th, 78), Mary Kate Norcross (6th, 83), Spencer Rajtik (8th, 85) and Spencer Bodner (89).

Amanda Steier of Greencastle-Antrim posted an 86 to tie for ninth with Shippensburg’s Dillon Labonte. Hunter Reath led James Buchanan with an 89.
