GIRLS VOLLEYBALL
Trojans win Linganore tournament: Chambersburg posted a 9-1 record Saturday and won the championship of the Linganore (Md.) Tournament. The Trojans defeated the host school in the semifinals and then edged Glenelg 2-1 in the final.
Lauren Ching and Ashley Adams were named to the All-Tournament team, and Trojan assistant coach Bobby Culler said Bailee Nitterhouse also had a great tournament.
Ching had 101 assists, 8 aces, 17 kills and 34 digs, while Adams had 34 kills and 10 blocks and Nitterhouse 36 kills and 51 digs. Also, Ashley Runk had 45 digs and Lexi Anderson had 10 aces.
BOYS SOCCER
Chambersburg 1, Waynesboro 1: The Indians scored late in regulation to earn a tie against the Trojans. Both teams hit the post numerous times in the back-and-forth affair.
Asher Schwartz hit the goal for Chambersburg (3-1-2) and Griffin Redding had the assist.
CROSS COUNTRY
Ben Bloser Bulldog Invitational: Three area teams participated in the 22nd Ben Bloser Invitational at Big Spring.
In boys AAA, Chambersburg placed seventh as a team, with runners Trentin Overcash (18th, 17:11.70), Orion Kimberly (36th, 17:46.61), Joe Carroll (61st, 18:07.92) and Patrick Zook (72nd, 18:18.06) leading the way.
In AA, Mercersburg Academy’s Alexander Wood took 15th in 17:53.93, James Buchanan’s Alex Griffin was 20th in 18:03.03 and Shippensburg’s top runner was Gabriel Brandt in 19:06.44.
In girls AA (Chambersburg’s girls did not compete), Sophia Divone of Mercersburg placed fourth (20:20.27), Ship’s Teddi Powell was 23rd (22:07.74) and Renee Sollenberger of JB was 27th (22:23.21).

Boiling Springs 3, Chambersburg 0: The Trojans are now 2-4.
