Chambersburg 2, Greencastle-Antrim 1, OT: The Trojans got a goal from Rachel Dusman on a corner play as the clock expired in overtime to pull out a wild 2-1 non-league win over Greencastle and snap a 2-game losing streak.
Dusman also scored in the first half and Chambersburg (2-3) held that lead until the Blue Devils’ Bryanna Conway scored with 2:07 left on a pass from Moriah Ricker. On the game-winning play in OT, Sage Piper set up Dusman’s game-winner. Trojan goalie Ari Burke saved a penalty stroke earlier in the half by Conway.
Chambersburg coach Dani Clutter said, “We scored first and dominated the first half. Greencastle came out strong the second half and took it to us. We pretty much held position throughout overtime.”
“The first half was all about Chambersburg, but the second half is where we took control of the game,” G-A coach Rebecca Rice said. “After Bryanna took a stroke for the team, it was an electric shock of adrenaline for our players. It didn’t matter that she didn’t score, it was all about the spark she provided.”
