The James Buchanan Lady Rockets girls tennis team defeated Middletown 5-0 on Friday and improved its record to 4-3 on the season.

JB won in straight sets and gave up only eight games in the win. Singles winners for the Lady Rockets were Maggie Strawoet (No. 1, 6-0, 6-1), Abby Mackling (No. 2 6-0, 6-1) and Amber Clark (No. 3 6-0, 6-2).

Winnings in doubles were the No. 1 team of Megan Hoffeditz and Ella Jones (6-0, 6-1) and No. 2 team of Sydney Jones and Ashley Grove (6-2, 6-1).
