It was a thriller, but Shippensburg won Friday’s game 17 to 14 over the James Buchanan Rockets.
JB was a standout with 17 hits, including 7 HRs. Jake Miller, Parker Summers, and Jimmy Bell also made significant contributions with 2 HRs each, while Carter Hissong added 1 to the tally.
Miller went 3 for 4 with 2 RBIs, Bell went 2 for 2 with 3 RBIs, Parker Summers had 4 RBIs, and Carter Hissong had 3 RBIs.
Jake Miller started on the mound and went 2.2 innings with 11 hits, 10 runs (5 earned), 3 strikeouts and 2 walks. Drew Crouse threw for 4 innings with 5 hits, 7 runs, 7 earned, 1 strikeout, and 2 walks.
Shippensburg had 2 HRs, one each for Brady Maciejreski and Troy Chamberlain.
Maciejewski went 4 for 5 at the plate with 5 RBIs, A Miller 3 for 5 with 2 RBIs, J Strought 3 for 5 with 2 RBIs and Chamberlain 2 for 4 with 1 RBI.
Maciejewski started for the Greyhounds’ game on the mound, allowing 9 hits, 9 runs, 9 earned, 1 strikeout, and 1 walk. E Weller finished the game with 8 hits, 5 runs,1 strikeout, and 5 walks.
