SoFo Indians Triumph Over Northern Bedford

The SoFo Indians were triumphant over the Northern Bedford Black Panthers 7-5 on Tuesday in Warfordsburg.

The Indians (4-1, 0-1)  got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Paul Hendershot singled into left field, and Kaden Saunders grounded out, each scoring one run.

Northern Bedford took the lead, 3-2, in the top of the third thanks to singles by Feathers and Lloyd.

SoFo flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring five runs on three hits to take the lead, 7-4. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by Brady Dressel that drove in one.

Cam Cain earned the win for SoFo. The starting pitcher gave up five hits and four runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking none. Watson took the loss for Northern Bedford. The pitcher went four innings, surrendering five runs on four hits, striking out four and walking four. Kagarise opened the game for Northern Bedford. The hurler surrendered four hits and two runs over two innings, striking out one and walking one. Colt Mann appeared in relief for the SoFo Indians and earned the 3 inning save.

Senior, Paul Hendershot provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led SoFo Indians with two runs batted in. The infielder went 1-for-3 on the day with a sacrifice fly. Colt Mann and Brady Dressel each collected two hits for the  Indians.

Bowers, Lloyd, Snyder, Free, and Feathers each collected one hit for Northern Bedford. Lloyd went 1-for-3 at the plate and led the team with three runs batted in.

Next up for SoFo Indians is a home game against the Tussey Mountain Titans on Wednesday.
