The QB throws the ball well and he’s got a diverse group of receivers that run good routes. The Smith kid is getting Div. I looks. We’re getting more confident, although still getting our feet under us from losing our quarterback earlier. We just have to cut back on our mistakes and penalties. Hopefully our defense can get some turnovers like last week (6) with their aggressive style.”
Unsung: Carter mentioned his secondary, which had 4 interceptions last week … “The entire group bought in and those turnovers were huge,” Carter said … He also mentioned LB Brady Rosenberry (1 pick, 15 tackles) and WR Davonte Scott (4 catches, 81 yards, 2 scores).

Coach’s viewpoint: Greencastle coach Jason Thurston said, “If I were coaching them, I’d be telling them that Greencastle is a game we could maybe win. We can’t go out there and assume we’re going to win. They have some pretty big kids up front and the quarterback is decent. If they play a team like us that likes to run the ball, they pack the box. We’ll need to a few things to loosen them up. We just to make sure we don’t come out flat, and keep doing the things we’ve been doing lately.”
