Cumberland Valley 40, Chambersburg 30: Other than a 17-6 advantage in the second quarter, the Eagles had to work hard to defeat the Trojans in a Mid Penn Commonwealth game Tuesday night at CASHS Field House.

CV (16-3, 13-2 MPC) led by only two points after one period, but the second quarter onslaught, which included 8 of Julie Jekot’s 19 points, gave it a 25-12 lead at halftime.
Chambersburg (4-15, 2-13 MPC) actually outscored the Eagles by three points in the second half.
The Trojans, missing starter Kiki Walker, got 9 points from Bre’ya Clopper, 6 each from Erin Pattillo and Madi Flythe, 4 from Sydney Schmus and 3 from Rosalyn Diehl.
