Shanksville 45 Southern Fulton 33
Bedford, Pa. – Southern Fulton was defeated in the District V Semi-finals Saturday evening by the Shanksville Vikings. The Indians (15-9) led 12 to 10 after the first quarter and were down by 2 at halftime, but the Vikings controlled the third period and never trailed the rest of the way. Southern Fulton was led by Gabe Stotler 13 points, and 10 rebounds. Justin Morris added 7 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. Dylan Melton added 9 points. Coach Jeremy Hann commented, “We played them tough in the first half. They hit 2 three pointers in the 3rd and we were a little flat. In this kind of game, that may as well have been 15 points. We just never seemed to recover.” Shanksville was led by Matt Addleman with 18 points and 5 rebounds. Dawson Snyder added 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 steals. The Vikings will now play Shade Friday, March 1, at Pitt-Johnstown for the District V Championship at 8:00, while Southern Fulton will play Berlin at 5:00 in the District V Consolation game at the same site for a birth into the PIAA State Tournament.
