Boys Basketball 1/24/19 SF Falls in Double OT

Berlin, Pa. – Southern Fulton (8-6) lost to Berlin Brothers Valley in a non league matchup Thursday evening that went into double overtime. The Indians played even in the first quarter and were down six at the half before battling back to within 2 points at the end of the third quarter. The teams went back and forth through the final period and first overtime period, but then, the Mountaineers outscored the Indians 13 to 10 in the second overtime for the victory.

Coach Jeremy Hann commented, “Berlin shot very well. We got in some foul trouble in the second and had to fight through that. Our freshman came up huge tonight, They continue to grow up fast. Dylan Melton was hot tonight and that was huge, while Justin (Morris) had to sit down for a bit.”

Southern Fulton was led by Dylan Melton with 26 points. Justin Morris had 18 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals. Gabe Stotler added 14 points, and 11 rebounds. Freshmen Konner Pittman and Josh Morris chipped in 9 and 8 points. Berlin was led by Elijah Sechler with 25 points, 8 assists and 4 steals.
