Williamsburg, Pa. – For the second time in 2 days McConnellsburg (7-8) pulled out a win with less than 6 seconds on the clock. Up by 14 at halftime the Pirates clawed back and took the lead in the fourth quarter. Down by one, Colton Mellott hit a runner with 2.1 seconds left for the game winner in a 57 to 56 non conference win. Dominick Reed had a big night scoring 35 points and pulling down 13 rebounds. Colton Mellott added 10 points and 6 assists. Kolby Brown and Lucas McClain each chipped in 6 points in the win. JV – WHS 50 MHS 45 (MHS- Xavier Butterbaugh 16, Austin Johnson 12) McConnellsburg travels to Fannett Metal on Friday.
Big Spring 67 Fannett Metal 31
Newville, Pa. – Fannett Metal (6-9) traveled Big Spring in a non league game and lost 67 to 31. Hunter Hill and Rylin Sharar led the scoring for the Tigers with 6 points each. Matthew Ward led the scoring for Big Spring with 14. JV – BS 65 FM 40. Fannett Metal will host McConnellsburg on Friday.

McAllisterville, Pa. – Forbes Road made the long trip to East Juniata and dropped a non league contest 50 to 18. Mara Broadwater led the Cardinals with 8 points. Cardinal Coach Jamie Gelvin commented, “I’m not sure if it was the ride up or something else, but we didn’t show up. On the positive side we can only improve from this performance. JV EJ 24 – FR 20. Forbes Road will travel to Southern Fulton today (1/24) to take on the Indians.
