Cardinal Coach Jamie Gelvin said, “We started well, but hit a tough patch late in the first and basically all of the second quarter. We started the game up 11-4, but when they made a run we couldn’t stop it. The second half we played pretty much even up, but we can’t expect to win if we have those tough stretches. Giving credit where it’s due, Brynn Hartman and Katie Johns played great games for Fannett Metal. They are both great players and showed it tonight. For us, Shelby Harnish had her career high tonight and really attacked the basket.  I was proud of not only her’s, but the team’s effort. Once we figure out how to stay composed and take care of the ball, we will be fine.” JV FR 38 – FM 35(FR – McKenna Rohrer, Harlie Strait – 10 points, FM Brynn Hartman – 9). Forbes Road will host Belleville Mennonite on Saturday, while Fannett Metal will host James Buchanan.
