McConnellsburg,Pa. – McConnellsburg (4-0, 2-0 ICC) went to half time with a 1 to 0 lead over league rival Southern Fulton (2-3, 1-1 ICC) and broke open the second half with 5 goals. Landon Seiders and Bryce Kylor each scored 2 goals while Gage Henry and Hayden Schetrompf each found the back of the net. Seiders also added 3 assists and Henry and Kylor each contributed assists. Casey Spade scored for the Indians. McConnellsburg out shot the Indians 20 to 8. Caleb Strait had 5 saves in goal for the Spartans while Colby Whiteside had 7 saves for Southern Fulton. Indian Coach Hervey Hann commented, ” We played a good first half and fell part the second half. We had 2 players hurt second half and were not able to return to game.” Southern Fulton returns to action on Saturday at home against Everett at 3:30. McConnellsburg will travel to Windber on Saturday.
Fannett Metal 5 Shalom Christian Academy 2
Willow Hill, Pa. – Fannett Metal (1-1-1) tallied 5 first half goals in route to a 5 to 2 win over non league opponent Shalom Christian. Tanner Seibert led with 2 goals and Kyler Goshorn, Tilek Maksatbekdy, and Darston Warren each scored. Matt Peppernick and Warren each tallied an assist. Luke Coffman recorded 8 saves and Brandon Varner had 2 in goal. The Tigers return action on Sat against CVCS.
