BOYS LACROSSE
Chambersburg 20, Dover 4: For the third time in their last four games, the Trojans produced a win; Monday it was blowout win over Dover in a non-league game. The 20 goals matched the team’s highest total of the season.
Chambersburg coach Paul Flohr said, “The regular cast moved the ball well and we played very controlled throughout. (Jake) Gordon had a huge ground ball day with 12, and Nash (Bothe) won 19 (of 21) face offs.”
The Trojans (5-7) spread the scoring around among 7 different players. Brandin Cosey led the way with 5 goals, and Jace Hopple tallied 4 times. Thomas Elia and Haden Ocker notched 3 goals each, while Riley Ocker and Aiden Brechbill each had 2 and Grayson Hopple had one.
Contributing assists were Klein Burkholder, Elia, Haden Ocker, Grayson Hopple and Cosey. Goalie Jarrett Secrist had to make only one save.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Chambersburg 20, Harrisburg Christian 8: The Trojans beat Harrisburg Christian for the second time in four days to take their record to 5-6. Chambersburg led 13-5 at halftime.
Hannah Raines led the scoring for Chambersburg with 7 goals, followed by Rachel Dusman (6), Cameron Stouffer (3), Mackenzie Miller (2) and Payton Guyer and Ashlyn Bothe one each.
Stouffer and Dusman had 3 assists each, and Miller and Barrett Cross had one each. Goalie Micaela Champion earned 7 saves.
