Central Dauphin 3, Chambersburg 2: The Rams were victorious in 3 competitive singles matches and that was just enough to edge the Trojans in a Mid Penn Commonwealth contest Friday afternoon at Norland Park.
In doubles, Chambersburg (5-4, 3-2 MPC) went 2-0. At No. 1, Nina Kuchar and Gretta Hill set CD back with a 6-2, 6-2 win, while at No. 2, Sophie Keller and Kendall Temchack came up with a tie breaker win, 10-4 in the third set. They had lost the first 6-7, but won the second set 6-1.
At No. 1 singles, the Trojans’ Leah Wadel fell 6-4, 6-1, Charlie Kalathas was defeated 6-3, 6-1 and Olivia Keller put up a good fight in a 7-5, 6-2 loss at No. 3.
