Chambersburg 3, Greencastle-Antrim 0: The Trojans prevailed 26-24 in a tight first game against the Blue Devils, then won the next two a little more comfortably in a non-league game on the road Thursday night.
Chambersburg (2-0) won 25-17 and 25-15 in the last two games.
The Trojans spread the stats around, with Lexi Poe leading with 9 service points and Kasey Moser and Grace Myers each collecting 8. Moser put down 13 kills, while Kylee Perry (8) and Olivia Shearer (6) helped out. Moser and Maddie Rydbom split 8 blocks evenly.
Myers was the assists leader with 18 and Perry had 14. Moser was also the leader in digs with 18, followed by Poe (13), Natalie Miller (12) and Perry (12).
Chambersburg coach Ty Frelin said, “What a great match — this was high-level volleyball from both sides of the net. We played with a lot of passion and determination. We kept rallies alive with our defense and terminated rallies with our offense. This was a great match to watch.”

Lower Dauphin 1, Chambersburg 0: The Trojans battled evenly with the perennial power Falcons before giving up a goal with just 3 minutes left in regulation in a non-league game in Hummelstown on Thursday evening.
Chambersburg goalkeeper Ashley Mitchell kept her team even for 77 minutes, making 15 saves for the Trojans (1-1).
“Three of those saves were genuinely impressive,” Trojan coach Paul Unruh said. “As the second half progressed, LD started to connect their passes, but Ashley came up with excellent saves. They took advantage of a long throw-in that bounced in the box to get the goal.
“In the first half, we did very well containing them and counterattacked to create a few quality chances without being able to capitalize. This overall team performance lays down a marker of the resolute nature of this team as well as our depth. Our quality does not drop when we make substitutions.”

State College 5, Chambersburg 0: The Trojans traveled to play the Little Lions on Thursday afternoon in a Mid Penn Commonwealth match and suffered their first defeat of the season.
Chambersburg (4-1, 3-1 MPC) was competitive in 4 of the 5 matches. In singles, Charlie Kalathas fell 6-0, 6-3 at No. 2 in her first action of the year, and No. 3 Olivia Keller was defeated 6-4, 6-3.
At No. 1 doubles, Nina Kuchar and Gretta Hill were edged by SC’s Catherine Ma and Angela Liu in a tiebreaker, 7-6, 6-4 (7-10). Kendall Temcheck and Aria Barberio were beaten 6-4, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles.
